Overview
Rule-9 permission involves obtaining authorization for the utilization or management of hazardous and other wastes and developing or finalizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure environmentally sound handling, storage, transportation, utilization, and disposal of such wastes. This is governed by the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
