Overview
What is a FGD — Flue Gas Desulphurization?
Bharti Enviro supplies turnkey wet limestone forced-oxidation (WFGD) and semi-dry spray-dryer absorber (SDA) FGD systems for coal-fired power plants, cement kilns, and industrial boilers to meet MoEFCC / CPCB SO₂ emission limits. WFGD systems achieve > 98% SO₂ removal producing marketable gypsum byproduct; SDA systems suit smaller boilers where gypsum recovery is less critical.
Key Features
- Wet limestone FGD: ≥ 98% SO₂ removal; food/construction-grade gypsum byproduct
- Semi-dry SDA: simpler capital structure for boilers < 100 MW with ≥ 90% SO₂ removal
- Spray absorber nozzle design prevents scaling and fouling in the absorber vessel
- Turnkey scope includes absorber, oxidation air blowers, ball-mill slurry prep, and upstream ESP
