Overview

A One-Time Import License is required for the import of specified hazardous and other wastes for recycling, recovery, reuse, or other approved purposes, subject to statutory approvals from the competent authorities. The approval is governed by the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 framed under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
