Overview
Consent to Establish (CTE) is a statutory approval required before establishing or expanding an industrial unit to ensure compliance with prescribed pollution control norms. It is granted by the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB)/Pollution Control Committee (PCC) under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
