Overview
Drinking Water Analysis is a comprehensive laboratory evaluation of water quality to determine its physical, chemical, microbiological and, where required, radiological characteristics. The analysis helps verify whether water is suitable for human consumption and meets applicable quality requirements. Testing can be carried out for municipal water, borewell water, groundwater, treated water, RO water, institutional drinking water and other potable-water sources.
Key Capabilities
- Physical, chemical and microbiological parameter testing
- Radiological characteristics tested where required
- Coverage across municipal, borewell, groundwater, RO and treated water sources
- Benchmarking against IS 10500:2012 drinking-water specification
Applicable Regulatory Framework
- IS 10500:2012 – Drinking Water Specification, Relevant BIS sampling & testing methods.
- WHO Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality – international technical reference.
- FSSAI requirements – applicable to packaged drinking water/mineral water.
