Overview
What is a Multiple Effect Evaporation Plant (MEE)?
Our multiple-effect evaporation systems use steam economy of 4–7 kg water evaporated per kg steam by cascading vapour through falling-film or forced-circulation evaporator bodies in series. MEE plants handle RO concentrate and high-TDS industrial effluents up to 250,000 mg/L TDS, producing a concentrated slurry fed directly to crystallisers or ATFDs for final salt recovery.
Key Features
- Steam economy 4–7× — each effect reuses latent heat of the previous vapour body
- Falling-film or forced-circulation (FC) effect bodies for scaling and fouling resistance
- Thermocompressor (TVC) option boosts steam economy by an additional 30%
- Condensate recovery ≥ 98% — all distillate returned as clean process water
